Ali and Ida's 2009 Avon Walk Boston

On May 16-17, I walked 39.3 miles in honor of my mother. Breast cancer is a big disease, one that affects far too many people, and walking was the least I could do to recognize the grace and dignity with which my mom is fighting this disease. As we walked, I met so many amazing people who were walking for loved ones who are also fighting or whom they have lost, and many other survivors. Here are a few photos of my mom and I along the route. She completed a total of 30.5 miles!
